Yes, I have, make a noise, arouse a couple of dozen off-topic rants, and we have a polarised list.
If it is going to be a sterile well-(SIF)policed "SuSE only topic" list I would think the 1400 may well be a lot less fairly soon, when the community I've enjoyed being part of over the last few years seems to be becoming intolerant.
Even if this is the case though, some damage is already done - Fred Miller is now posting all of his news messages on lx-talk instead. :-(
That's not damage, that's nice. It seems fair enough that people who want the OT stuff can simply subscribe to the lx-talk list, and lease the others @ peace.

No damage done here either. I'd skim linuxtoday and slashdot and later that day Fred's pointers to a number of the of the same articles would show up in my mailbox. I didn't subscribe to this list for a clipping service. I appreciate Fred taking these messages to the new list. I think that will take care of most of the OT concerns raised lately.

...And, those of us who LIKE the "clipping service" that Fred (et al) provide, can just as easily join the other list. That's one of the reasons that *I* joined it: I like the clips, AND I like being able to filter stuff easily. This way, I can much more easily filter. Thanks all!
