:o) www.tomshardware.com also has some rather humerous benchmarks comparing P4, P3 and Athlon...

If i can remember right, a PC mag i saw reported: P4 1.5GHz - 880MFlops (approx) Athlon 1GHz - 1200MFlops (approx)

Although admitidly P4 is better than Athlon at 3D games performance...
