Hi all, I need to get an ISDN TA in hurry. I've had a good look around and decided, for now, on a ZyXEL omni.net Plus ISDN TA. This particular model isn't mentioned in the compatibility database, and so I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this particular ISDN TA. I'd also like to know what people think of ZyXEL as a manufacturer - is their kit generally of good quality? Any comments? Never try a ZyXEL under Linux, can't tell about... I've tried recently an Asuscom 128k Internal ISDN Adapter. It works perfectly on a SuSe6.4. All can be set in Yast1, without problem (the standard management tools was suggested by people of *this* list). Nice card! IIRC this apparatus is an external ISDN-"modem" that is connected to a serial port. It behaves to your system like a modem, but this time a fast one! You do not need ISDN4linux or ipppd. Just pppd will do nicely. However beware. You can *not* make 2 connections at the same time to different numbers, or do things like receive a fax on channel 1 while being connected to the internet on channel 0.
