Hi everyone....just a quick question I have a PCI Winmodem (I think it is a winmodem because it starts with a HCF...)is there a way I can get it to work in linux? I have allready read the modem HOWTO but no luck.... Unless you can come up with a linux version of the software that winmodem's require, you are out of luck. Best to get a real modem anyway, no problems with any OS. Any external modem should be ok, if you want a internal modem, make sure that it is not a winmodem. Most PCI modems are winmodem's, but a few exceptions.
