3. What kind of dvd media you use - RW or W
DVD+RW
I have read a lot of complains that RW media is not good for this task. Can you try with normal blank DVD?
4. Did you check the burned media: dd if=/dev/dvd | md5sum -b -
dd: not-recognised operand `/dev/dvd' Trie `dd --help' voor more information. d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e *- was what I got. This is not the chechsum of the file

Usually DVD+RW/R is slightly more reliable for data burning than DVD-RW/R ... But it might be worth checking the capabilities of the drive with. wodim -prcap -dev=/dev/dvd - -- ============================================================================== I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone. Is your machine setup to boot from the DVD? Check your BIOS boot order. Have you tried the disks in a different machine to verify the discs are bad? -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 running openSUSE 10.3 x86_64 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
