A few days ago I pre-ordered my copy of V9.0 Professional and in the blurb accompanying the description of the package it states that a "test version of the 2.6 kernel" "for the technically skilled persons" is included.
Anyone know what "for the technically skilled persons" may mean with respect to the 2.6 kernel? I mean, will it be just a case of "use at your own risk" but it will still work OK, or will it require some fiddling to get it working?
Cheers.
I would think it means "It will work - to the best of its ability". I.e., it should run without twiddling, but use at your own risk.
SUSE knowing, they will provide the RPM's and upgrade them (maybe not officially supported) along the way. This is how Linus likes it :-) Regards Harry
