mozilla 0.9.4's issues with ftp are worse and some graphics won't display..
Has anyone else noticed that if Mozilla 0.9.4 knows the file extention it does funky stuff with the file. Every tar.gz or .pdf I've downloaded with it has issues. It changes the name of the file to something like " f49skht.tar.gz" and won't let me specify where I want it put..it just downloads the stuff to /tmp. I've backed down to 0.9.3 after discovering that it has issues with some .jpg's..a KDE themes site wouldn't display it's screenshots..and neither would e.themes.org..among others I tried after that. I submitted a bug about it. It's just an FYI and I wanted to know the thoughts of others. -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org cat CE|ME|NT|XP > /dev/null

Have you checked the helper apps or whatever they are called. It sounds to me like it's setup to do certain things with certain extensions. I'm not using 0.9.4 but I've got acrobat setup to handle pdf. With my older setup I had bzip setup to unzip all files when they got downloaded. Nick
