Have a look at: /etc/splashy/themes/openSUSE/theme.xml -- Jim Barnes -- Certainly the game is rigged. I believe that's the boot splash, or possibly both. It appears to be configured by "splashy_config", and the man says: ] Splashy - a user-mode, POSIX and LSB compliant, boot splashing system ] for UNIX. If it is the boot splash, I don't want to disable it. If it is both, I don't know how to disable the hibernate splash. The boot splash is disabled in "/etc/sysconfig/bootsplash". I have seen no single config file for hibernate splash screen. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. Just comment the <suspend>sleep.png</suspend> as below: <background> <boot>background.png</boot> <shutdown>background.png</shutdown> <resume>background.png</resume> <!-- <suspend>sleep.png</suspend> --> <errorimg>error.png</errorimg> <!-- resolution of the images. this value affects where the progressbar will be drawn. If VALUE <= 0, then percentages of the screen width and hight will be assumed --> <dimension> <!-- NOTE: x and y are not used by splashy --> <x>0</x> <y>0</y> <width>0</width> <height>0</height> </dimension> </background> HTH, -- Jim Barnes -- Certainly the game is rigged. I see. But I found another method that leaves the screen in verbose mode, which is what I need. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. You might also find some useful info on tty10 or from dmsg -- Jim Barnes -- Certainly the game is rigged. Not when it crashes, no. You only see a splash screen stuck at some point and you can't change to anywhere, and no idea where it stuck because there is no text. I solved the crash, anyway. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
