Hi all, does anyone know where the addressbook is kept in Kmail. It's not in the same folder as the mailboxes and I want to back it up before I upgrade to 7.2 -- Cheers Bruce

I think this *might* be wgat you are looking for /home/okage/.kde2/share/apps/kmail/addressbook
If you're using kab with your addresses, it will be in: .kde2/share/apps/kab/addressbook.kab -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + Bruce S. j, brilliant! I saw the .kde2 folder but just assumed (bad idea I guess, as dad always said - especially while driving) that it was configuration settings and not holding a whole wealth of folders. Thanks again Bruce On Friday 28 September 2001 06:12, you wrote:

IF you go to that location you *should* find a file called *addressbook* !!!! ( and it had all hte things I put in mine to test it ( I dont use addressbooks, unless I have to do a mass mailing to , oh ... every soldier, sailor, airman that has EVER served ( Honorably , tho that *might not be totally necessery ) <g> I just dont like all that info lying about ... and am still considering *some sort of * encryption scheme..
hope this helps
