Just a word of warning regarding ClamAV on SuSE 9.2. The original rpm shipped with the SuSE DVD is clamav-0.80rc3-2.i586.rpm. There have been two upgrades since then clamav-0.80,1-1.i586.rpm and clamav-0.80,2-1.i586.rpm The problem is the original rpm appears as a latter version to the two upgrades. If you look in YaST at clamav you will see it marked in blue indicating the original rpm is newer than the updates. I got caught when I updated to KDE 3.3.2 and selected everything newer to be updated. YaST then proceded to "update" ClamAV to the original version. The ClamAV database then becomes incompatible with ClamAV which promptly seg faults and dies. Resulting in no email being processed. YOU will not update the ClamAV rpm. You have to delete the rpm altogether and then install the latter rpm from the ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/clamav and then do a YOU update to install the latest rpm. -- Regards, Graham Smith ---------------------------------------------------------
