I asked this questions previously, but it was buried in response to another X question. I have X-Terms throughout my house. I would like to be able to run X programs, across a PPP conection, to my employer's system. I can do this, but only from the terminal on the CPU running Linux. Can I run remote X programs from my X-Terms? Yes, but over a PPP link it will be slow as hell. :)

I know that. Unfortunately, I only run Linux at home and my employer has implemented some software that I need to use that requires M$ Internet Explorer. The user/password authentication is incompatible with Netscape. Accordingly, I have installed the HPUX version of IE at work. Actually, the performance isn't that bad (OK, it aint great either). I use SSH for this. It's mostly transperent, well-protected, and reasonably fast. -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\\ 816-241-2641 x107 | http://www.atipa.com _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
