I seem to remember that I could do it with apt-get, but cant' remember the command. Can anyone help?
I ended up removing all of my kde* packages (the 3.0.x versions) first, then doing an "apt-get install kdebase3", then going to /var/cache/apt/archives and doing an "rpm -Uvh kde*" since I had already downloaded everything with apt. -- John LeMay KC2KTH Senior Enterprise Consultant NJMC | http://www.njmc.com | Phone 732-557-4848 Specializing in Microsoft and Unix based solutions -- John LeMay KC2KTH Senior Enterprise Consultant NJMC | http://www.njmc.com | Phone 732-557-4848 Specializing in Microsoft and Unix based solutions
No problem.. Is that the only way to do it? I thought I could upgrade? Tom On Sun, 2003-03-02 at 20:32, John LeMay wrote:

Hi, After most of these problems, I got success upgrading from kde 3.0 to kde3.1 doing 'apt-get --reinstall upgrade', synaptic is no good for that :( Guillermo. On Monday 03 March 2003 05:42, Tom Nielsen wrote:
