Wie macht Ihr so was? E: The problem of LiveCDs with antiviral software is IMO the problem of actuality. As you might know, a virus scanner can only detect viruses older than tht scanner's signature database. E. You have remained polite, pointed out an error but helpfully also provided a answer. Very bad behaviour for opensuse. F. You are right. I missed the '-de' in the mail-address.

but most of the virus-scanner are able to update there signatures if they can reach the internet ... and if they can store the new signature somewhere. And this is my problem with a LiveCD. How to store new information if I won't change the PC I'm currently try to check.

You might be surprized ;-( Finnished downloading known virii, and the bzipped file was about 1100MB in size... OTOH, there are USB-sticks of 4GB. But for a SuSE-live-dvd you already need a 4GB stick Hans -- pgp-id: 926EBB12 pgp-fingerprint: BE97 1CBF FAC4 236C 4A73 F76E EDFC D032 926E BB12 Registered linux user: 75761 (http://counter.li.org) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

There is probably a way to actually burn the DVD after altering the file system to look for the defs on the USB key. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
