[opensuse] KDE 4 Seeing All Items From Each Desktop
I'm using openSUSE 11.1 and switched from using Ubuntu about four months ago and have not looked back! At first I was using Gnome, but switched to KDE 4 and have found it to be a fantastic desktop. openSUSE has made a very easy Linux to use, the package management is a breeze, and YaST might be why I was so drawn in the first place. Anyway, enough of the praises, I was wondering how I turn off the "seeing all items" option where the panel shows all open windows regardless of what desktop they and you are on? My laptop only supports 1024 x 768 and they get a bit crowded at the bottom. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi, If I got your point correctly, you just want to see the running program in the desktop they are on, not in every desktop. - right click on your empty panel (no matter on what desktop) - select Task Manager Settings, on General - Filters - select "Only show tasks from the current desktop" hope that helps regards, medwinz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

BINGO! That's what I was looking for! I guess I didn't put "Tasks" as open programs. Also, do you know how to re-arrange the order of the programs on the Favorites Application Launcher? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

good to hear that :-)

You can right click an icon on Favorites and sort it, or you can rearrange the icons manually by dragging the icons within the Favorites. regards, medwinz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I've tried that but it when dragging it where I want to go, a universal no sign appears on the arrow and doesn't move anything. Right-mouse clicking on the icon brings up a menu with only one option: "Remove from favorites".
