Dear Friends, I am a dedicated Linux user and have been using SuSE 8.2 since about three days. My past installations were 7.3 / 8.0 / 8.1 and 8.2 which I now use. However, on 8.2 whenever I try and open the home directory upon clicking on it the window pops up and then vanishes and I get another window that says: "The application Konqueror (konqueror) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)" I have installed everything that came with the CD's and have a AMD Duron with 256MB SDR, and Nvidia video board. I did check with the conflicts while installing the provisions yet maybe I am mistaken at some junction which you could solve for me. Please do haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalp and save Mua! Sincerely, ABHIJIT NAIK

Have you done an online update yet with YaST2? My friend had a problem with Pysol doing something similar...it'd pop-up and be fine, but as soon as the cursor was moved over the menu bar, it'd vanish. Did an online update, and it was fine after that. John - -- I needed fresh bugs for my SuSE gecko, and Linux penguin. So I went out and caught this huge ugly blue and red and green and yellow butterfly. They won't need fresh food for 3 months now. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+3i6LH5oDXyLKXKQRAkpsAKCY0QeDnCD7N3JY+ariXMYJFaQeYACffcsK fw6Rsp5V1xwuorDzmuUgYCs= =lWNn -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Are your nvidia drivers installed and working correctly? run 3Ddiag to make sure, or play Tux Racer. I understand you've probably done all this, but I've found often that it's the little or simple things that get overlooked to quickly or easily (at least it's that way with me, lol), and I'm no guru in any sense of the word, but I might toss something in here that no one else has yet one of these times and who knows?
