I think I added too many fonts, now many applications are taking forever to load. If I were to delete all fonts in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts then install just the default SuSE 8.1 (or Xfree 4.x) fonts, where can I get a listing of the default fonts? I searched on the internet, but I keep finding conflicting lists. Thanks, Jeric

Start yast2 in a console, hit alt-f, choose RPM Groups, open up System->X11->fonts Choose your basic ones, like any that say ttf, european, or scalable. -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
