Re: [opensuse] 11.0 grub error 17 on boot
Using 11.0 beta3. I installed it and ran the updater to update the initial install. I then joined a 2003 domain. I the restarted the computer and >get loading grub Error 17 I am never presented with the boot menu. The computer is a hp pavilion a6313 with 2 sata drives in a raid 1 (2 320 gig drives) and 2 gig memory. >Nvidia 6100 video and somekinda high def audio. Is this a bug or is there a way to fix this without a reinstall. If a reinstall, should I not update?
Upon a reinstall and then updateing the initial updates, then reboot->same error. I ran a "repair installed system" and it reports no linux partitions. As i said above, 2 sata drives that are 320gig in size in raid 1. During the install, i delete the existing raid and then partitions. Then create a raid 1 and mount point is "/". Then install 11.0 beta3 and then reboot, error 17. what gives? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

OK, so after this reinstall and no updates from the updater on the panel, it boots fine and i am presented with the boot menu. So, i assume to not use the updater in the panel? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
