Does anyone know where I can get more themes for KwiX? It's a new program that was on the ftp site. :) -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org ----- If two men agree on everything, you can be sure that only one of them is doing the thinking.

To be honest, I didn't know KwiX used themes... huh, I'll be anxiously waiting to see if you get any other responses on the matter... So it's on the SuSE FTP site? -Tim -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Timothy R. Butler Universal Networks Information Tech. Yeah, they posted a bunch of newer RPM's and a bunch of RPM's for software I had been looking at such as KwiX..I think it takes themes..if it's just *a* theme..I guess that's cool, but why would one have to compile it? Weird. I guess I shall wait an see. :) -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org ----- If two men agree on everything, you can be sure that only one of them is doing the thinking.

The reason it requires compiling AFAIK, is that KWin's new theming system (or rather style system) isn't pixmap based, but module/plugin based. This is best demonstrated in that KwiX will use what ever system colors you choose, and further more, plugins like BII can actually move the title bar location dynamically (try taking two regular sized windows, and maximizing them while using BII for a demo). In otherwords, if one wanted to, you could literally create say an Enlightment style that would look and work like Enlightenment. You can find it on apps.kde.com . It's a window manager style for Kwin (the KDE Window Manager). -Tim On Monday 23 April 2001 04:05 am, you wrote:
