Hi there, how are you ppl ? Hope you are ok. So, can anyone tell me if Mr. Project is the equivalent to MS Project? Is there more software that do the same that MS Project does, or Mr. Project is the only one ? The other question that i have regards to the fact that i'm having problems with address book of Kmail. I'm not able to import files made by it self, i mean, the software tells me that the import is done, but i cannot see the names of the persons either emails. So does anyone have a clue about this ? Can anyone help me with the import of files in to the address book. And the files that i'm working are *.csv. Is there a better format to save this kind of information? Thanks for your time Best Regards Marco Oliveira

I'm not familiar with MS Project so I can't say how it stacks up. Check out the home page of this project: http://mrproject.codefactory.se/ It hasn't reached the "1.0" state yet so it's still in a early stage of development. But given the rapid pace of OSS development, I'd expect rapid progress. Alltheweb.com for "mr project" and you'll see some interesting articles comparing [M$ | mr] project. Here's one: http://mrproject.codefactory.se/

I'm not quite sure what you're asking here, but i suspect that you're confused by the Kmail "Tools" menu. Kmail -> Tools -> Import is for importing email client information that was used with other email clients (ie: you're email address and ISP's mail server). This might seem confusing because it's right below "Kaddressbook". Kaddressbook is a separate application which interoperates with Kmail and other KDE applications. You can import an addressbook into Kaddressbook in a .csv file by using the File -> Import -> Import List. This looks a little tricky though and if you can dump your old addressbook in vcard format you'll probably find it easier. Check out Kaddressbook to see what I mean and don't forget to read the Kaddress Handbook under the Help menu if you get stuck. The documentation of KDE apps is getting better all the time. cheers; sol
