I have a prblem with 2 SuSe 10 machines after a yast update. Symptom: I can't connect to the internet Cause: the DNS server is erased when I shutdown. Whane I boot, I have to launch yast > network card, and add the DNS IP and server, which is empty except for WORKGROUP in the place of the server. How do I fix this? Thanks Fx

Cause: the DNS server is erased when I shutdown.
I hope this works. DNS server ip is stored in tne following file. /etc/resolv.conf Just login as root. Open the file with an text editor and simply type the ip adress of the DNS servers. Save the files. Last step is to restart the inet superserver. That is all. Goksin Akdeniz
