Is there an address we can send grammatical corrections to? As an english major the mediocre translation really starts to wear thin after a while. _phondew

Yes- it's a lot of fun playing games with English. The one thing that is certain is that if you raise an issue of grammar or spelling you will make one error (or more) in what you say/speak! ; ) Terence
Really? This is the kind of pedantry up with which we should not put. If the question was about the SuSE manuals, then the corrections should probably go to feedback@suse.com though I'm sure corrections to matters of fact are more urgent. For my part, I like the germanic terseness of the SuSE manuals. I've found not one "due to the fact that" when "since" or "because" is enough. And nowhere has "now" become "at the present moment". Sure, there are typos, but these are ephemeral books produced with urgency. And a useful set of corrections would need a good 40 hours proofreading by someone familiar with LaTeX. If the corrections are to the documentation for some of the packages, then contact the developers. Most would welcome someone with writing talent to do what they often regard as a tedious chore. Actually, the Germans are not known for their terseness. In fact, just the opposite is true, particularly in technical writing. When I was in the Army, I worked in a liaison office and got regular reports from various German customs offices. Two had am ongoing competition to see who could be as "unterse" as possible. I remember one report that was almost entire type-written page that one was single sentence! My two cents. Regards, jimmo On Monday 04 March 2002 19:50, John Lamb wrote:
