[opensuse] How to share printer so MAC can print
How is the best way to setup a printer connected to lpt1 in Suse 10.2 so I can access it via the network and a Macbook with OSX can print to it. Tried to setup a print server, but Yast Hardware, Printers hangs as mentioned in a previous email. Tried sharing with Samba Server, still no luck. Any Suggestions? Search lists.opensuse.org/opensuse. There is an Advance Search icon - spyglass with a + in it. Delete /var/lib/YaST2/ppd_db.ycp. Fixed in yast2-printer-2.14.17. Stan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I have my parallel printer plugged into a parallel port on my netgear router. this router came with a parallel port for this purpose although I don't think they have any now with that feature. Meaning my router is obsolete. . -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Any Suggestions? I would assume you would need to share the printer? On a trial here on 10.2, I saw a checkbox that said Share printer when I was installing. I do not know where I would find it in Yast though, other that Hardware;Printers and maybe /etc/sysconfig.
