Hi everyone, Does anyone know of a utility like BootMagic or System Command that provides a nice mouse driven GUI for booting between Windows and Linux, that is open source?
Thanks, Tim

Hi Tim, I installed Storm Linux 2000 from an evaluation cd and it automatically installed a graphical lilo in the mbr similar to Boot Magic. I still use SuSe 6.3 as my main linux, only use Storm Linux to boot up. All you have to do is change lilo.conf in Storm Linux to boot any system. I'm sure if you look into it, you can find out what files are used in Storm and delete the rest of Storm and use only the boot process. Joseph Zieniewicz

You might take a look at Xfdisk as a replacement bootmanager. http://www.geocities.com/xfdisk2001/ I'm using it here at home on my 2 systems and haven't had any problems. It's not mouse driven though.

I use Xosl. It is a gui and mouse driven boot manager. I have been using it for just under 12 months and have had no problems with it. Do a search for it at freshmeat and you should find it. Cheers, Glenn
