In Yast1, go to Package Management > Package Information, and enter a string with a single quote/apostrophe. Yast aborts back to the command line with: /bin/sh: -c: line 6: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `'' Protecting apostrophe with a backslash does not help. Nor enclosing the search string in double quotes. Thanx, Jeffrey -- I don't do Windows and I don't come to work before nine. -- Johnny Paycheck
