[opensuse] Moving the addressbook of Kontact
I installed 11.1 freshly on a separate disk, and am trying to move over the data from the 10.1 installation on the other disk. I managed feeds and mail so far. I cannot seem to find the address book though. I thought it would be .kde/share/apps/kaddressbook directory and kaddressbookrc respectively, which however don't exist. I do find kabc, which has only a few .vcf files in it. What is the application called exactly, so I can find the data and rc file. OK, doodling around I found that the kabc vcf files contain all contacts and not just one as I thought. So I was able to import all right. A small problem is that some contacts, while having a name their name in the list view is empty. Any idea here? On Friday 13 February 2009 09:53:31 am Konstantinos Georgokitsos wrote:

A ".kontact" folder with symlinks to all the parts that make up kontact would be helpful. You could then just copy ".kontact" folder across or you could point an import function within kontact to it and that could bring all the data across and convert any config files to a new format. regards Ian -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
