Dear my friends.... I just installed SuSE 9.2 on my laptop (Inspiron 510m) with YaST2. It is installed successfully except the SuSE-screen. I don't the SuSE Screen after the boot splash (boot manager). Why is it so? The SuSE Screen should be installed and configured automatically if we install SuSE 9.2 with YaST2, right? if start the splash with YaST2, I found this error message: " /etc/init.d/splash start returned 5 (program is not installed): " Which program do I have not installed? I find the "splash" command in the "/etc/init.d". " psubroto@vh64:~> ls /etc/init.d/splash /etc/init.d/splash psubroto@vh64:~> su Password: vh64:/home/psubroto # /etc/init.d/splash vh64:/home/psubroto # /etc/init.d/splash start vh64:/home/psubroto # " Please tell me what I should do. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? google for: "site:lists.suse.com splash sle" I get 3880 hits. There has been much discussion here, sle, in the past few months about 'splash' screen display. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos
