You subscribed and only you can unsubcribe. You have to send an email to
suse-linux-e-unsubscribe-eallan4=verizon.net@suse.com
And then reply back to the email they send you to confirm your unsubscribe
request. This is to prevent other from doing it.

well, you don't wish that any more than we do.. So how about you actually read , and follow step by step the unsubscribe instructions. In your headers is a link to unsubscribe you from this list. It looks like THIS:
list-unsubscribe:mailto:suse-linux-e-unsubscribe-yourname=yourisp.com@suse.com
click the part that says "Mailto" etc We can not do it. We didn't sign you up for it , you did that. And no one can unsubscribe you, except you. well, maybe we can. I sent the unsub for his address and he should receive an email for unsub confirmation. But, the way he is comprehending the kind words supporting him here, he may still not understand, sigh..... -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Unless you can find a way to get him to actually read it, there's no serious likelihood he will understand it. Maybe if what he got as a result of your effort failed to include SLE anywhere in the subject line he just might read it, but he told me he's not reading anything that does have SLE in the subject line. -- "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Told you? You mean you are in contact with him? Then why not explain things to him directly? Also, how did he manage to get subscribed in the first place? -- Ut supra post festum sunt obscura -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

He's 20. I tried. He's 20. He claimed he had it under control when last we talked. He's 20. I'm not going to him, he's going to have to come to me, due to the sequence of events I already described.

Apparently there are non-n00b subscribers here who can't, won't, or just don't read: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=suse-linux-e&m=115311028801284&w=2 http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=suse-linux-e&m=115317037831381&w=2 -- "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Fine, but get him to stop sending idiotic mail like the OP. This list doesn't send spam by any definition. Spam is something uninvited you get. If you subscribe to a mailing list (or if someone with access to your mail account subscribes you), you get mail from that mailing list. That is not spam, and calling it spam is not only insultingly stupid, but also detracting from the fight against real spam -- Ut supra post festum sunt obscura -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
