I finally got the kernel patch to load. I don't know what I did, except maybe that I specified to get all patches. I still can't get the nvidia and microsoft true type patches to install. The dialog says they are downloading, but I can't find the RPMs and they both fail to install. Any help would be appreciated. ... that is odd. when i've done it, a dialog comes up and asks if i want to install them [both], after showing a disclaimer message, it then installs. are you SURE they downloaded completely? -- /// Michael J. No, I don't believe they are downloading. I've checked the download directory /var/lib/YaST2/you/mnt/i386/update/9.0/rpm/i586/ where all the other patches were stored, but they are never there. I think my interrupted patch download the other day has left me with a partial set of download elements, but not the RPMs. -- Jim Sabatke Hire Me!! - See my resume at http://my.execpc.com/~jsabatke Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for you are crunchy and good with ketchup.

Jim, Since both of these items need to come from a different location, they sometimes require a "retry" to get them to download. I had this happen the other nite on the truetype fonts. I believe they come from sourceforge.net, but had to retry several times before they actually downloaded. I suspect the same is true of the nvidia drivers as they have to download from nvidia's site. A requestor should come up asking if you want to retry.
