Adding to the login destop options?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Is there a systemattic method to add, for example a KDE snapshot build to the available login options in the KDE login UI? I don't want to go mucking up the existing SuSEconfig managed KDE installation, but I need newer bits for working with the KDevelop cvs. Is the whole startup sequence for KDM/KDE documented anywhere? I've traced through it in years gone by, but I would rather forego the pleasure(sic) right now. It looks as though I can use a ~/.xsession script and invoke it by selecting "custom" from the KDM picklist. less /opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/Xsession case $1 in "") exec xmessage -center -buttons OK:0 -default OK "Sorry, $DESKTOP_SESSION is no valid session." ;; failsafe) exec xterm -geometry 80x24-0-0 ;; custom) exec $HOME/.xsession ;; default) exec startkde ;; *) eval exec "$1" ;; esac -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAV9KlwX61+IL0QsMRAlUYAKDa97QVs6fIOKv1OuMZXM3y3bJY0gCfYL9G Mpa6kBEG8Mat5zaiPIVG10M= =VTww -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

I guess you are thinking of an equivalent of Solaris' sysunconfig. There is nothing I know of. When moving disks to a box different with hardware, I've used yast at the command prompt to set up the new configuration, NIC's, scsi adapters, etc. on the new box. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ....
