I am having problems running KDE2 under VNC. The setup is as follows.

Suse 7.1 (on AMD P550 with 256Mb Ram and S3 32Mb g/card)

Windows 2000

I have modified the .xstartup script in /root/.vnc to run kdestart. I have changed the link on kdestart to point to /opt/kde2/bin/kdestart as the original link pointed to the KDE start script not the kde2 script.

When I start the vncserver KDE2 starts but the Kdesktop crashes. KDE seems to run fine

I have tried changing the runlevel to 3 and manually starting X using the kdestart script from the console and it starts fine.

Any Ideas???
