hi ,
trusting in the powers of PnP I chose to upgrade
from 6.4 to 7.1.
However the Kernel 2.4 refused to accept the route
of my two interface machine. eth1 never came up and eth0 did not find it's
default gateway, which is outside our subnet and has a dedicated route.
going back to 2.2.18 all works fine.
what special new mechanism(s) did i miss the boat
on ?
