Gwenview is incredibly pretty in KDE 4, especially in fullscreen/slideshow mode:

It has a nice set of basic photo editing tools, not as extensive/bewildering as Digikam. It uses this 'black home entertainment' look and feel when in fullscreen mode - it works the same way when not fullscreened, but uses the same L&F as the rest of your desktop:

It also does various contact sheet and album n-up prints, but the option for this lurks in the Plugins->Images->Print Assistant menu entry - File->Print... only prints a single image.
