Is there anyone on this mailing list that= is=20 willing to telnet to my machine and login as root (I will give you a temp. IP= =20 and password) to look around at why my X Server is not functioning. I have tr= ied=20 numerous things and got some good leads from Lenz but I cannot figure out wha= t=20 is wrong. If there is anyone I would appreciate a private e-mail to mathowel(a)nmsu.edu

Have you run XfreeSetup (or XfreeConfig) and set up your machine? In order for Xfree to run, you need to have a symlink established to the correct server for your video card, has this been done? I recently added the apg ati expert(a)work 8m video card an got it configured with the mach64 server. sax recognized the card but did not probly setup the card.
