Hi, I'm using SuSE Linux 7.2 in a Samba/Windows 95/98 environment. There are two lpd print servers in the network, one is an Intel Netport 10/100, the other is integrated in a Ricoh Aficio 200 printer/fax/copier maschine. I configured 2 lpd-queues which pass icoming data directly to the remote print server boxes (without any filtering). Samba exports these two printer queues ([printers] in smb.conf) so that the windows clients can use them. The problem is that BOTH remote print servers seem to hang after a while. I can print a few pages, then the actual print job stays in the queue on the linux side and the remote print servers do not respond any more. I think that there must be a problem on the linux side, because when I'm using another Windows/lpd Client (e.g. exceed tools) everything works fine. Please help, thanks Christian
