Hallo Liste, ich benutze Suse8.2 und eine 8GB USB Festplatte im 3,5" Gehäuse. Mit dem Standard Suse2.4.20-4GB-Athlon Kernel kann ich die Platte als /media/sda1 mounten. Jetzt habe ich den 2.4.22 Kernel kompiliert (mit allen USB Sachen - wie auch im Suse Kernel, aber einiges gleich fest eingebunden) und es funktioniert nicht mehr :-( Lasse ich das USB2 Modul "ehci-hcd" geladen, bekomme ich per "dmesg" nur die Fehlermeldung (alle paar Sekunden neu): hub.c: connect-debounce failed, port 1 disabled Entferne ich das USB2 Modul, kommt wenigstens schon folgende Meldung, aber der "Piep" bleibt aus und ich kann die Platte nicht mounten :-( "dmesg" Ausgabe: usb.c: USB disconnect on device 00:03.3-0 address 1 usb.c: USB bus 4 deregistered hub.c: connect-debounce failed, port 1 disabled hub.c: new USB device 00:03.2-1, assigned address 2 scsi1 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices Vendor: Model: Rev: Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 Attached scsi disk sda at scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0 SCSI device sda: 16514064 512-byte hdwr sectors (8455 MB) sda: sda1 WARNING: USB Mass Storage data integrity not assured USB Mass Storage device found at 2 Device not ready.
