HAllo Ich habe vesucht grub in den mbr zu installiern und das geht nicht. Aber es wird auch keine Diskette mit grub erstellt. Man hört zwar die Diskette ratten, dann ist aber nichts drauf. Auch auf verschiedenen Disketten das gleiche. Yast defekt oder ich zu dumm ? Sind Fehler bekannt ? Stefan

Wie hast du es denn gemacht? Per YAST? Schon mal per Kommandozeile probiert? man grub und dann irgendwas mit "grub install /dev/XYZ" oder so. Grub wird nicht unbedingt sichtbar ins evtl. vorhandene Dateisystem installiert. Wenn grub seine Konfiguration von Festplatte lesen soll (und ich vermute das ist bei dir der Fall) ist genau das der Fall, die Diskette bleibt "leer". Wie genau hast du versucht grub auf die Platte zu installieren? Wie auf die Diskette? Und wie sieht deine /etc/grub.conf aus? -dnh -- *pieps* Die Verkehrshinweise: Im Netzwerkkabel von Marc 100 MB Stau wegen einer Vollsperrung der Ausfahrt Festplatte. Nein habe ja exta gewollt das die Diskette startet, weil mein System gar nicht bootet mit grub aus dem MBR. Anhang grub.conf + menu.lst Habe dos bootpatition,XP und dann Linux. Ging auch mit der 10.0 und alten Board. Vermutlich das Board. Asus K8N -VM mit NVUDIA Gforce 6100 Nforce 410 Ist das System mit Cd mal oben läuft es auch problemlos Stefan # Modified by YaST2.
