Ich würde gerne sqwebmail installieren und stoße beim ./configure auf folgendes Problem: checking whether the C++ compiler (gcc ) works... no configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C++ compiler cannot create executables. configure: error: ./configure failed for bdbobj root@linux:~/sources/sqwebmail-3.1.0 > rpm -qa | grep gcc gcc-2.95.3-52 Kann mir jemand sagen, wie ich das Problem beheben könnte? Sind denn auch der C++ Compiler und die relevanten Bibliotheken installiert? Falls ja, dann schau mal ins Log-file des configure Laufes, da gibt es naehere Angaben, was genau ausgefuehrt wurde und was genau fehlgeschlagen ist. gcc ist der C-Compiler , du brauchst aber den C++-Compiler aus dem gpp-Paket und ausserdem z.B noch das Entwicklungspaket zu libstdc++ , das bei SuSE libgpp heisst -- Markus Kossmann markus.kossmann@inka.de

Im Paket gcc ist nur der C Compiler. Für C++ brauchst Du noch die Pakete gpp (Compiler) und gppshare (die zugehörigen Bibliotheken). BTW, die Version zu erfragen geht auch einfacher mit 'rpm -q gcc'. Philipp -- caffeine low .... brain halted
