Hallo liebe Freunde! Wieder einmal suche ich hier Rat unt Tat, da mir jetz irgendwie die Ideen ausgegangen sind. Also, alles was ich will, ist die Bilder von meiner Digikam (Canon Powershot A20) runterzuladen. Bei Suse 8.0 war das eigentlich null Problem: Kamera angesteckt, der PC piepst und die Kamera war mit dem Programm gtkam ansprechbar. Jetz gehts irgendwie nicht mehr so einfach.... ;-) Der PC piepst nicht mehr, wenn ich die Kamera anstecke und wenn ich usbview aufrufe bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung: Can not open the file /proc/bus/usb/devices Verify that you have USB compiled into your kernel, have the USB core module loaded, and have the usbdevfs filesystem mounted. In der fstab ist folgende Zeile eingetragen: usbdevfs /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs noauto 0 0 Ein ls unter /proc/bus/usb bringt folgendes: linuxbox:/proc/bus/usb # ls-l insgesamt 0 dr-xr-xr-x 2 root root 0 2002-10-29 20:36 . dr-xr-xr-x 4 root root 0 2002-10-29 20:36 .. So, dann hab ich folgende Befehle ausgeführt: modprobe usbcore modprobe usb-uhci Nochmal probiert, das gleiche. Dann habe ich make xconfig aufgerufen um zu sehen was da alles USBmäßig in den Kernel hineinkompiliert ist, scheint aber "normal" auszusehen. Kenn mich da aber auch zuwenig aus. Ich hab jedenfalls am Kernel nix herumgepfuscht. Wie kann ich den Fehler eingrenzen?

Hallo Fred! Bei mir steht "fast" das gleiche, habe die Kommentare weggelassen:
HOTPLUG_DEBUG=default
HOTPLUG_BEEP=yes
HOTPLUG_START_USB=yes
HOTPLUG_USB_USE_USBMODULES=no
------------------------------------------ HOTPLUG_USB_USE_USBMODULES=no nach HOTPLUG_USB_USE_USBMODULES=yes umändern, dann speichern und auf der konsole einmal SuSEconfig aufrufen. nach einem reboot müsste es klappen, wenn nicht dann gib als root mal lsmod ein und schau dir an welche module geladen wurden. ciao fred
