virtuelle Terminals fehlen
Hallo zusammen, ich habe einiges an meiner SuSE 9.1 geändert, deshalb kann ich auch nicht sagen ab wann ir die virtuellen Terminals fehlen. Auf jeden Fall fehlen Sie jetzt. auf ALT-F1 habe ich die Bootmeldungen auf ALT-F7 liegt die grafische Oberfläche auf ALT- F10 liegt die warn.log a) kann man sie auf der Kommandozeile "nachstarten"? wenn ja wie? b) in den logs finde ich nichts, warum sie nicht beim booten mitgestartet werden Wo soll ich anfangen zu suchen? Damit sollten die Terminals eigentlich vorhanden sein. Vielleicht findest du noch heraus, was du genau geändert hast?
leider steht genau das in der /etc/inittab Nach Handbuchlesen hatte ich dies schon kontrolliert. Leider muß es noch an anderer Stelle klemmen, nur wo? Nach welcher Änderung kann ich leider nicht mehr nachvollziehen, da ich so gut wie immer über ssh im Server war. Aufgefallen ist es halt als ich direkt am Server ein paar kleine Dinge testen wollte. Wie schon gefragt: kann man die Terminals auch nachstarten? Wie? Dazu habe ich leider nichts gefunden. Wo wird terminal 10 gestartet, welches die warn.log ausgibt?

Nach was kann ich sonst noch suchen? Ich kann da nichts verdächtiges entdecken. es gibt nur einen Meldungstyp mit tty: kernel: isdn_tty: call from 177.... -> 90.... ignored

Leider kann ich dir so auch nicht helfen. Du könntest noch zwei Sachen machen: $> grep tty /etc/init.d/* das müssten so ca. 40 Fundstellen sein (in boot, rc, kbd u. a.). Versuche, ein login auf tty11 zu starten und poste alle Meldungen: $> agetty -l /bin/login -H localhost -n 38400 tty11 vt100 (am besten, du schaust noch mal in `man agetty` nach). OK die seriellen Schnittstelen sind klar, die wichtigen Ausgaben sind die unter kbd? Oder biegt mit rc die tty's weg, weil tty1 auf VGA?
Versuche, ein login auf tty11 zu starten und poste alle Meldungen:
$> agetty -l /bin/login -H localhost -n 38400 tty11 vt100
(am besten, du schaust noch mal in `man agetty` nach). Theoretisch müsstest du auf alt-f11 ein login sehen.
also ein login ist da, aber: beim Versuch mich als root anzumelden kam zuerst die Aufforderung das Passwort einzugeben, danach das LDAP-Passwort einzugeben, was zwei mal nicht funktionierte (dieses Problem mit dem LDAP-Server kenne ich leider schon ohne es bisher lösen zu können). Liegt hier etwas im Argen? An Meldungen tauchen nicht besonders viele auf: in der warn.log login[8863]: pam_ldap: ldap_starttls_s: Connect error login[8863]: pam_ldap: ldap_result Can't contact LDAP server sshd[8888]: pam_ldap: ldap_starttls_s: Connect error sshd[8888]: pam_ldap: ldap_result Can't contact LDAP server danach kommen ein paar (4) Meldungen der FW2 über PROTO= UDP SPT=1029 DPT=53 (ich habe für einige weitere Probleme meinen BIND9 in Verdacht? Ist aber nur eine vage Vermutung) in den messages steht nichts (oder ich bin wieder zu blind) Ich mach mal zusätzlich eine neue Frage auf mit: wie bekomme ich LDAP beim login bzw. password wegkonfiguriert? Sorry - bei ldap kann ich dir auch nicht helfen. Alles andere scheint in Ordnung zu sein. Kannst du ldap einfach mal weglassen und schauen, wie der Rechner startet? Oder startest mit dem ldap-Problem einen neuen thread und wir schauen dann weiter. cu PeeGee
