Bis eine neue Suse-Version kommt, üben sich viele Benutzer in Geduld mit Upgrades, weil das System so zuverlässiger bleibt. Dass man auf neue Gimmicks verzichtet, ist normalerweise nicht tragisch. Hoffe dass die richtige Reparaturanleitung doch noch kommt. Updates sind in der Regel nicht schädlich sondern oft sicherheitsrelevant!
Teste mal den Stick an allen anderen USB-Ports. Bekommst Du die gleiche Meldung?
Ich kenne solche Meldungen von USB 2.0-Sticks, die an USB 1.1-Ports betrieben werden sollten.
Funktionieren andere USB-Sticks oder USB-Festplatten an diesem USB-Port?

Nur um zum Unterhaltungswert beizutragen: In Yast -> Hardware -> Infos -> USB -> Sticks wird auch das device "/dev/* ausgewiesen. Das ändert sich evtl., wenn der/die/das Stick abgezogen und neu angesteckt wird. Dann muss die Adresse für mount in /etc/fstab geändert werden. Genau diese Meldungen hatte ich vor Monaten auch mal. Da lag es aber nicht am USB System sondern an der Hardware. Der Stick war schlicht kaputt - der hat dich als USB2.0 Gerät gemeldet, konnte aber nur noch USB1.1 sprechen. Genau das erzeugte diese Meldungen. Probier mal den USB2.0 Support auszuschalten mittels # rmmod ehci_hcd und dann den Stick zu benutzen. Wenn das klappt (bei mir gings dann), dann ist der Stick kaputt. Kommt angeblich schon mal vor. Meinen hat der Laden anstandslos umgetauscht. Ansonsten teste den Stick mal an anderen Rechnern mal mit nativ 10.2 aber auch mit einer 10.2 mit Updatestand, wie auf deinem PC wäre interessant. Es scheint mir, als würde schon beim Hochfahren ein USB-Geräte Fehler produzieren. Welche USB-Geräte hattest du denn angeschlossen? Maus ? Tastatur?
Diese Fehlermeldung (error -71) kommt beim einstecken eines usb gerätes. Beim start war ein Kartenleser angesteckt.
