Liebe Liste,

nach wie vor streikt meine Soundkarte (siehe bisherige Mails). Keine Fehlermeldungen, außer beim Versuch, etwas abzuspielen. Der Treiber installiert sich scheinbar ohne Probleme. Ich wurde gebeten die Datei /proc/asound/sndstat bzw. /dev/sndstat zu schicken.

Könnte es noch an etwas anderen liegen??

Hm, wird schon komisch. Kannst du mal den Inhalt der proc-datei /proc/asound/sndstat schicken? Oder /dev/sndstat, falls die erste nicht klappt.

und bitte ausschliesslich an die Liste schreiben, das vergroessert die Moeglichkeit, das dein Problem geloest wird.

/proc/asound/sndstat gibt es auf meinem System nicht, dafür die andere. Hier der Inhalt:

PCI Soundkarte unter SuSE-Linux 7.3 (KDE 3.0.1. ist dazugekommen, der Rest ist Standardinstallation) zum Laufen zu bewegen. Ich folge der Anleitung der SDB. Trotzdem bleibt die Karte stumm... (Lautsprecher sind freilich an, Lautstärke an den Boxen ist hochgedreht, und die KArte funzt auch unter Windows). Was läuft da nicht richtig?????
