Meanwhile, I have tried in my Win Me (under vmware) version 1.3.6 of poedit, which is the last one recommended for 95/98/Me. It run, but crashed my W.Me badly (right click on any string crashes poedit). I just reverted the snapshot, that's the advantage of having a VM :-)

I hope that 1.4.2 is more stable on XP - I'll have to wait till some free time on next week.

I have some available free time, which I could use to translate, but the only computer I have on those intervals runs windows. Ok, I may try. It is a bit on the large side, but I'll consider it. Space is very limited there, the computer becomes very slow and "trashes" when disk is too low. But I'll try if I can.

p.s. lokalize doesn't do spellcheck on windows right now, but that should be fixed in KDE 4.3 due next month.

Unfortunately, someone has blown the chances away. Someone has done something, via remote access: on Friday, there were about 2GiB free, today there were only 80 MiB free. I can't install anything :-/ I could use a keychain USB disk, but the machine has only USB 1, so external disk is terribly slow. And I had already deleted all "rubbish" that previous users had left, like games or downloaded music, compressed everything (it is ntfs): that's why I had 2 GiB free. Now I don't. If you don't like it, I do not want to persuade you. For what's worth, several guys and girls were astonish how fast you can edit .po file with Emacs. Guys and girl who otherwise do not use Emacs.

I know, I know. Or I guess :-) I have used emacs, and vi. I like neither, because of their interfaces, because I'm used to something very different. I recognize their power, but I can't be very productive with them. Just a personal thing. (I used emacs to translate another type of project, not .po files). And anyway, the machine I have available in my spare time is very old and has only 80 MB of HD free at the moment... I can't install anything :-/ Mmmm... I guess I could score some geek points by having emacs there when the Windows admins come by some day... >:-)
