Hi all, browsing in the svn trunk, I found the "packages" folder containing po files for a subset of languages. The contained strings seem to me to be the description of rpms included in the dvd/live-cd. Are these files used? If yes, should we translate also such files? As usual, shortly after the release I'd like to prepare a translation update. Please, help with collecting info about parts that are worth an update. Webyast is already known. Which yast languages? Desktop components? There is already a about update-desktop-files: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=679089 BTW, if you resolve a translation bug and it deserves an online update, do not set its status to RESOLVED, but better assign it to me for packaging and releasing an update. Hi! I’d like to start translating openSUSE into Norwegian Nynorsk (language code ‘nn’). Requested information: New language name: Norwegian Nynorsk My full name: Karl Ove Hufthammer My BerliOS login: huftis My contact e-mail: karl(a)huftis.org Note that http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Localization_team lists the language ‘Norwegian’. This is actually Norwegian Bokmål (language code ‘nb’), a different language from Norwegian Nynorsk. (There is no *written* language called just ‘Norwegian’.) Please change the ‘Norwegian’ entry to ‘Norwegian Bokmål’ and add ‘Norwegian Nynorsk’ as a separate language/team. [opensuse-translation] Refresh pot files?

Hi all, according to the oS 12.1 roadmap[1], the last round of translations will start Sept. the 1st. As pointed out in previous messages, there are some translations that are not used by corresponding applications. This seems to be due to outdated pot files or to different msgids in po files and applications. Moreover, there are po files without corresponding pot files, such as html-help-boot.it.po, html-help-install.it.po, kfiledialog.it.po, kinternet.it.po and libgnomesu-1.0.it.po in lnc. Is it possible to refresh all pot files (and then all po files) in order to be sure to translate the right messages? Liebe Benutzer und Macher von openSUSE, mag noch jemand anders zu der Diskussion zu dem Thema etwas beitragen, wie ein Verzeichnis für Softwarepakete und Metadaten - auf Englisch in openSUSE: repository, pl.: repositories - im neuen deutschsprachigen openSUSE-Wiki genannt werden sollte? Dies bezieht sich auf die Bezeichnung, die in Artikelnamen (außer Weiterleitungen) und meist im Text (außer in Einleitungen) benutzt werden soll. Bei Interesse wäre es schön, wenn Ihr die folgende Diskussionsseite besuchen könntet: http://dewiki.opensuse.org/Diskussion:Paket_Repositories (bis Ende Montag). Dear users and makers of openSUSE, does someone else like also to contribute to the discussion on the matter how a directory for software packages and metadata - in English in openSUSE: repository, pl.: repositories - should be named in the new openSUSE-Wiki for German language? This is referring on the term that should be used in names of articles (apart from redirects) and in the text (apart from introductions). Hello, I want to translate openSUSE in Bengali. The language already exists in the i18n queue. But, the problem is, the project coordinator, Mr. Jamil Ahmed is not responding to my queries. I have been sending him mails for three weeks now but still no result. He has not translated or managed translation after version 11.2! I hope that you will allow me to translate openSUSE into Bengali by adding me to the group.
