10.3RC1:wireless not working on ferrari 4000 laptop
Hi, I have installed 10.3 RC1 on an Acer ferrari 4000 laptop, but cannot get the wireless network device to work. The device is detected correctly and as far as I can tell the correct driver is loaded, but there is no signal. When I boot I get these messages in /var/log/boot: <6>bcm43xx: Chip ID 0x4318, rev 0x2 <6>bcm43xx: Number of cores: 4 <6>bcm43xx: Core 0: ID 0x800, rev 0xd, vendor 0x4243 <6>bcm43xx: Core 1: ID 0x812, rev 0x9, vendor 0x4243 <6>bcm43xx: Core 2: ID 0x804, rev 0xc, vendor 0x4243 <6>bcm43xx: Core 3: ID 0x80d, rev 0x7, vendor 0x4243 <6>bcm43xx: PHY connected <6>bcm43xx: Detected PHY: Analog: 3, Type 2, Revision 7 <6>bcm43xx: Detected Radio: ID: 8205017f (Manuf: 17f Ver: 2050 Rev: 8) <6>bcm43xx: Radio turned off <6>bcm43xx: Radio turned off There is a button on the laptop to turn the radio on and off, but it does not change the message in the log and the wireless connection does not come up in any event. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks, Stefan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-testing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-testing+help@opensuse.org
