Where to actually report a bug??
Hi all, So, welcome to a frustrating Wednesday morning. I came across a bug where there is an "Ajax error" going to http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/multimedia:/libs:/cisco-openh264/ with a popup, DataTables warning: table id=data - Ajax error. For more information about this error, please see http://datatables.net/tn/7 At this point I wanted to report a bug. Easy. There is even a Link at the bottom that says "Report issue". And that just goes to bugzilla. So now the hunt starts -- which category? The MirrorCache link said nothing about category. The only thing with "download" in the description, ends up with microfocus.com email..... Anyone know what category bugs for MirrorCache should be filed? And shouldn't this information be, at very least, part of the link? Thanks, Adam

This is not supposed to be used directly. https://news.opensuse.org/2023/01/24/opensuse-simplifies-codec-install/

Sure, but that wasn't the question. The question is in the subject and at the bottom of my email. The largest problem with SUSE's Bugzilla is the large amount of dead categories that exist there. It becomes difficult to know how to actually enter a bug. For TW, or Leap, most users will find this. But now there is a problem with a web application, MirrorCache, which category? Oh, Google found a different place now, https://en.opensuse.org/MirrorCache which points me to, https://github.com/openSUSE/MirrorCache/issues/new which is completely different from the actual application.... - Adam

For infra issues generally an email to admin@o.o is a better suggestion, I don't think we are using bugzilla to track infra issues as opposed to development / software issues -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B
