Can't install keepassxc in Leap 15.4
After upgrading to Leap 15.4 I'm stuck without my password wallet. keepassxc requires glibc-2.34, but it's not in any of the repositories. I found several RPMs on other sites, but they won't install either because of more dependencies. Should I bother the keepassxc maintainers or the openSUSE maintainers about this? Where were you installing the openSUSE packages from? if they are correctly built for 15.4 then this sort of issue shouldn't happen. -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B

In case you see your X session crashing when running the auto-fill function of keepassxc, take a look at https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1200076 to find a fixed X server - still waiting for an official update...

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll run zypper dup to pick that up. Leslie -- Operating System: Linux Distribution: openSUSE Leap 15.4 x86_64 Desktop Environment: Trinity Qt: 3.5.0 TDE: R14.0.12 tde-config: 1.0

zypper "dup" is for tumbleweed and/or updating a system, not for maintaining a Leap system. you should use "zypper up" as "dup" can cause you problems on Leap. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet oftc

No, no more dups after Leap 15.4 is released. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from Elesar, using openSUSE Leap 15.3)

As others pointed out, zypper dup will not help here, neither zypper up will do atm. There is no update for xorg-x11-server available yet, so in case you'll face the same Xorg session crash like I did, you need to download the fixed rpm from the bugzilla and install it locally. Something like "rpm -ivh xorg-x11-server-1.20.3-150400.37.3.1.x86_64.rpm" would do the job. You just need to follow the updates to ensure you'll be able to get back on the officially fixed xorg-x11-server rpm when it is released...

It is simple. Use "dup" for distribution upgrades, not normal maintenance. These are: - upgrade of a stable leap to another version - upgrades of "devel" releases (like one beta of Leap to the next). - upgrades of Factory aka Tumbleweed (which arguably is like the previous case, a devel release; that is, they both are generated in a similar way). Any other, do not use dup. (exception: may be used to do the "packman switch or similar) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from Elesar, using openSUSE Leap 15.3)
