It has to ask permission to access disks and screen from the virtual machine the kernel code changes the storage key to allow it. (that is over simplification of what it does - cut and paste and allow USB and CD are also in the kernel part)

this doesnt alter the facts that my machine here more like hints into

why does virtualbox actually need some additional driver? module? in
the linux kernel of the host itself? its all so odd and strange to me.
