strange Packet Deny's
Hi there, today i found the following in my logs: Feb 20 14:17:37 router kernel: Packet log: input DENY eth0 PROTO=17 0.0.0.0:68 255.255.255.255:67 L=339 S=0x00 I=92 F=0x0000 T=128 (#33) what does that mean after all, something to be scared about? This message apears nearly every hour (sometimes more, sometimes less)... any idea's? grep 17 /etc/protocols -> udp grep 68 /etc/services -> bootp client grep 67 /etc/services -> bootp server So it's a machine renegotiating automatic boot parameters. Shouldn't be something to worry about - you have DSL/Cable and a 1 hr lease time ?
