Hi all! Could someone please mail me a sample of a working /etc/rc.config.d/firewall2.rc.config script for a webserver, with ethernet network interfaces for **SuSE 7.2**.? I've been having problems...my webserver is up and running but www requests can't get past the firewall and yet the following have been defined: FW_SERVICES_EXT_TCP="www smtp " FW_SERVICES_INT_TCP="www" I know that it is most probably the firewall because when I stop the firewall, the pages can be browsed... thanks, ---- Greg, Computer Frontiers International ,,, /'^'\ ( o o ) oOOO--(_)--OOOo----------------------

I dropped and broke my crystal ball today, so I can't give you a complete answer. If you are trying to do what I think you are, please read /usr/share/doc/packages/SuSEfirewall/EXAMPLES. You most likely only need to set FW_DEV_WORLD= FW_SERVICES_EXTERNAL_TCP= and FW_TRUSTED_NETS and FW_SERVICES_TRUSTED_* for ssh, ntp, or whatever. -- -ckm
