I just updated with the RPM at: http://www.ispservices.com/suse9.1/clamav-0.80-1.i586.rpm And worked. Just keep in mind that configuration files from clamav 8 differs from 7, so you might want to read a bit how to configure them before updating. Integration with postfix kept on working without problems Regards. Ariel Søren Kent Jensen wrote:

Hi Soren, ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/projects/clamav/ worked for me quite fine ... Maybe it fits your needs, too ... (I do not use it on an production system). c y Torsten Søren Kent Jensen schrieb am Montag, 8. November 2004 16:34:

In http://www.clamav.net/binary.html they list
http://www.ispservices.com/clamav.html as providing RPMs for SuSE 8.2
and 9.1. In 9.2 the bundled version is already 0.8.x.
Be aware that those RPMs dont provide the rc.d scripts, but if you
already have the suse ones installed just do an rpm -ivh --force of
the rpm so the rcclamd script from suse is maintained.

I've noticed the same on SLES 9, I wanted to buy SLES for a mail server. I'm wondering what about viruses need *Current functionality level = 3*? SLES 9 will let them go? -- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dominik Składanowski e-mail: dominik.skladanowski@ch.pw.edu.pl ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
